Synopsis:

Housewife Jane Peters grows envious when her friend Alice shows off a sleek new ranch–style home with a modern kitchen. At Alice’s urging, Jane pays a visit to her mother in Cleveland, leaving George to fend for himself. His disastrous attempts at cooking and caring for their son in the outdated kitchen drive home the value of up-to-date appliances. Upon Jane’s return, George is convinced to buy an entirely new house—complete with Jane’s dream kitchen.
